From the very first moments when Sapoa Adventures was born 15 years ago, it was clear to me how important it was to establish clear goals, ethics, and highest integrity. Those same pillars are the ones the entire Sapoa team stands on today.
Our business is not and never will be about the money. It has all been about sharing our intense passion for nature and appreciation for our history. Just like nature and history, we’re always evolving… in perpetual movement.

World Renowned Cloud Forest
This is the most famous Cloud Forest of this hemisphere, and one of the most visited and photographed. It has the largest most diverse range of orchids on the planet, with more than 500 species including 34 species discovered here at Monteverde. It has more than 160 species of amphibians and reptiles, more than 430 species of birds, almost 50% of all the birds of Costa Rica, some of them migrants, including 10 species in high risk of extinction…
The New Frontier
In Guanacaste we wanted to focus on a very selective group of experiences, accesible to everyone but away from the big concentration of tourism. We have applied all our years of experience and created options that will easily showcase the essence of the country and its people.
Guanacaste is a vast territory and presents a different challenge than Monteverde or Santa Teresa where everything is in a small area. With this in mind we have amazing options carefully spread through the area, so people wont have to travel a lot for a single option no matter where their accommodation is nested…
